The Judge Paul R. Michel Intellectual Property American Inn of Court brings together a cross-section of judges and lawyers interested in the field of intellectual property (patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets) and in furthering the goals of the American Inns of Court.
The Inn members are classified as follows:
Masters of the Bench
(aka Masters or Benchers)
Experienced attorneys (other than in-house attorneys) who graduated from law school at least 15 years ago.
Pay DuesBarristers
Attorneys (other than in-house attorneys) who graduated from law school 4 to 14 years ago.
Associates / In-House / Law Professor / Non-Attorney
Attorneys who graduated from law school 1 to 3 years ago, as well as law professors, in-house counsel and non-attorneys.
Law Students and Law Clerks
Law students or judicial law clerks in the LA area with an interest in intellectual property law.
No dues required.
Honorary Members
Judges may be designated honorary members of our Inn on the basis of
distinguished service to the bench or bar.
